Brand new video from Miike Snow for the song “Paddling Out”. This is the first video from the forthcoming new album. The video represents the album as it builds a narrative around it and it is one strange video. I’m looking forward to the new album as I’ve not been disappointed with any of the songs that they’ve put out there for public streaming. They’re all quite good, although this is the most upbeat track I’ve heard of the bunch.

A nice deep house mix from Axel Boman for the Oki-ni series. An excellent listen.

M.I.A’s video for her latest track “Bad Girls”, makes it’s debut today on the YouTube channel, Noisey. Noisey is a newly created music channel from VICE, think PitchFork TV, but less content at the current moment. Quite sure that’ll change down the road. The video itself, yeah I think it’s crap. I just thought it’d be funny to post to see how far she’s gone from political raps to rapping about how “Bad girls do it well” while gyrating her hips.

Mike B and Scion A/V have released his latest compilation Los Angeles: Tite At Night. The compilation is a free download over on Scion, but you can click here to grab it right now. The compilation is quite good, check out “Evan Stalker – Ensenada Lights” just below.

High5Collective are back once again with a new video that’s inspired by The Weeknd’s “Montreal”. This isn’t the first time the group has been inspired by The Weeknd, last year they released a video for “The Morning”. Through parts of “Montreal” you can hear The Weeknd quietly singing the phrase “laisse tomber les filles”, which ends up translating to “leave the girls alone”, something the video plays on with the father abusing his daughter.

Annnnnd like that January is comes to an end. With that said, our latest installment of Boner Jams is ready for your listening pleasures. The year really did start off right with some excellent tracks, in particular Todd Terje’s “Inspector Norse” right at the beginning of the year really set the tone. A recent song I can’t stop listening to is Oliver’s remix of “Heartbeat” by Childish Gambino, it’s such a departure from the original and one instance where the remix far exceeds the original, like not even in the same galaxy. As always let us know what you think, if you like the mix, hit the like button. Thanks.

The video for Justice’s latest single “ON’N'ON” was released last week and during that time it was announced a number of remixes for the EP, one of those mentioned was Rick Rubin. Well, lucky us, as Ed Banger Records has decided to release a stream of that particular remix, which is quite good. When hearing Rick Rubin was remixing the song I was sort of imagining a harder version of this song, but he went the opposite direction making it a lot more dance / pop. I actually prefer this over the original.
