Brand new video from Miike Snow for the song “Paddling Out”. This is the first video from the forthcoming new album. The video represents the album as it builds a narrative around it and it is one strange video. I’m looking forward to the new album as I’ve not been disappointed with any of the songs that they’ve put out there for public streaming. They’re all quite good, although this is the most upbeat track I’ve heard of the bunch.

M.I.A’s video for her latest track “Bad Girls”, makes it’s debut today on the YouTube channel, Noisey. Noisey is a newly created music channel from VICE, think PitchFork TV, but less content at the current moment. Quite sure that’ll change down the road. The video itself, yeah I think it’s crap. I just thought it’d be funny to post to see how far she’s gone from political raps to rapping about how “Bad girls do it well” while gyrating her hips.

I’m really digging the vintage look and feel of The Kooks‘ new video for “Rosie” from their album, Junk of the Heart.  There’s quite a bit of superimposition going on in the video too, which is actually pretty cool to watch.  If you like cool effects, catchy music, a girl dancing in skimpy outfits, and Luke Pritchard, you’re bound to like this video.

High5Collective are back once again with a new video that’s inspired by The Weeknd’s “Montreal”. This isn’t the first time the group has been inspired by The Weeknd, last year they released a video for “The Morning”. Through parts of “Montreal” you can hear The Weeknd quietly singing the phrase “laisse tomber les filles”, which ends up translating to “leave the girls alone”, something the video plays on with the father abusing his daughter.

The Internet, Odd Future’s Syd The Kyd and Matt Martians, have released their video for “Fastlane”. The video opens with Syd and her lover driving down a road, a close up reveals that Syd The Kyd is covered in blood, from there the story reveals itself as to how that came to be. Tyler the Creator also makes a brief cameo in the video as well at the very end. The song is off of the recently released album, Purple Naked Ladies.

A visually looking video from Justice for the song “ON’N'ON” that’s being described as cosmic, which pretty much defines it. Shit is pretty trippy at moments. The EP for this song will be released on January 30th and feature remixes from Rick Rubin, Tiga, Brodinski, Erol Alkan and Video Village.

One of my favorite artists of all times, Sébastien Tellier, is set for a much anticipated return with his new album My God Is Blue. This here, “Pépito Bleu”, is the first official single / video from that said album. Let’s hope the album doesn’t disappoint.

New Fanfarlo!  Here’s another new one from their forthcoming release, Rooms Filled With Light, which is set to hit shelves on February 28. This video, directed by Tim Nackashi, is totally bizarre and beautiful at the same time, and it holds a powerful metaphor about the human body.
