A visually interesting video from Niki and The Dove for the song “The Fox”. The fox in the video goes on a fantastical adventure experiencing various beautiful sceneries all while flying before finally settling on a spot at the end. I actually quite love the vocals of Niki and The Dove and was first initially turned on to them via Goldroom with his exceptional remix of “Mother Protect”, which if you haven’t checked out, I’ve reposted below.

First off, Happy New Year folks. As you may have noticed, if you’ve been visiting the site over the holidays, the number of posts were low for obvious reasons. It’s the holidays and I was busy sinking my life into Skyrim. But, we’re back for the new year and we’re kicking it off with our monthly mix, Boner Jams.
This mix has quite a bit of new stuff and some “older” tracks as well. Quite honestly for the mix, I just played whatever I felt like playing at that moment and the Perseus track “Russian Girlfriends” just leaped out at me and off course The Weeknd’s “D.D” track made for a great end. A remix that I hadn’t heard until recently was Cyclist’s remix of “People”, it’s rather an excellent mix and I had no idea that the dude was also from Vancouver. Actually with Cyclist, Pat Lok, U-Tern (one half of Oliver), The Weeknd and Azari and III, there’s quite a bit of Canadians being represented on the mix. A new track that’s starting to sink in and getting a lot of play for me is this “No Shame” track from Vancouver DJ / Producer Pat Lok. The EP officially dropped yesterday on French label On The Fruit Records and features remixes from Bit Funk, OHYEAH, Volta Bureau and one of my favorites Goldroom. Goldroom even adds a bit of his vocals on his remix as well. Strong showing here from Pat and definitely looking forward to hearing more stuff.
Maaaan…Goldroom aka Josh Legg has quickly become one of my favorite producers. His latest remix is for Niki & The Dove’s “Mother Protect”. The song is strongly driven by the piano and great drums as well. The remix just makes sense and works so well with the vocals, when you hear the difference between the original track and Goldroom’s remix. The song is up for a free download just below.
